This project is great because you can do it with your kids, each of you can make your own! A garden stone is so pretty and adds a lot of personality to your garden.
Use an empty wine bottle or something similar to make an automatic waterer. You just stick it in the soil of a potted plant and it will add water to the soil when needed.
Or, if you want to water the manual way, make a watering can out of a milk jug. Poke a few holes in the lid and it’s ready to be used!
I bet you’ve never considered making your own bird fountain. But you can do it, and it’s easier than one might think. It’ll bring birds to your yard, and it’s so beautiful!
If you have back problems or can’t get your soil to drain right, then build a raised garden bed. You don’t have to bend over as much to garden and it also drains really well.
I love potting benches because they provide a place to store tools as well as work on plants without having to bend over all the time. I highly suggest building one for your own garden!
You could also just try a tool organizer for all of your gardening items. There are lots of ways to make this item, so do what you think would work best for you!
I love AC in the summer, but I hate seeing the AC unit on the side of my house. If you’re the same way, then build a fence to hide it from view!
A rain can is a great way to save money on water while also being more environmentally friendly. Just convert an old garbage can into the rain barrel!
One of my favorite memories as a kid was roasting marshmallows over a fire in the yard. So, we decided to make our own fire pit and you can too!
Bird feeders are a pretty way to decorate your porch, plus they bring birds to the yard, which help all of your plants be healthier!
Isn’t this garden table absolutely gorgeous? You can use it on your porch, patio, or even in the garden! Put it wherever you think it would look best and be used the most.
Outdoor bed swings are so fun, so why not build one for your family? Just make sure that it’s built well and secured tightly so no one hurts themselves on it!
Take an old chandelier and turn it into a planter, bird feeder, or anything similar! All you have to do is stick the planters or bird feeders into the arms and that’s it!
Reuse an old garden pallet by turning it into a path! Take the slats of wood and place them in the ground for a cute little path.
Hanging gardens are great if you don’t have a lot of space to work with in your backyard. You can use anything from a shoe organizer to a garden pallet!
Greenhouses are incredibly useful in raising strong and healthy plants. With some recycled glass, plastic and any other recyclable products, you can make your own.
Or, if you don’t want to make a whole greenhouse, use old water bottles to fashion mini greenhouses for certain plants. So smart!
If you really want to be impressive, then make your own pond or streambed! It may take a bit of work, but they’re just incredibly beautiful!
I love having a garden, but sometimes it’s hard to remember what I planted where at the beginning. I like to use old plates or rocks to make name tags for each of the plants! Put your painting skills to good use!
